The liftboat AMELIA MARY is a well equipped self-propelled (dual prop) work barge with accomodations for crew and four passengers. The
vessel features three 78'-high 36"-diameter 1/2"-thick hydraulically-actuated legs with 12' x 24' pads at the base. These legs descend to the sea floor and lift (or "jack-up") the vessel completely out of the
water, above wave height, providing a stable work platform for drilling, diving, research, and other tasks. When jacked-up the barge can deploy its 70'-boom hydraulic crane. The vessel may also be
equipped with a HIAB knuckle crane |
